The University of Salford , School of Art and Design , UK in partnership with Tsinghua University , Academy of Arts and Design , China are inviting researchers and practitioners from all fields within design to submit a proposal for a paper for the D2B2: Tsinghua International Design Management Symposium, Beijing . The theme of the conference is 'Innovation, Design, and Management' in a global context.

The conference committee, - chaired jointly by Professor Ghassan Aouad, Pro Vice Chancellor of Salford University, and Professor Zheng ShuYang, Vice Dean of the Academy of Arts and Design, Tsinghua - is interested in papers that provide examples of empirical research, use case studies and contribute to theory building to demonstrate how design can be used to strategic advantage in managing the implications of global innovation.

The symposium represents a forum for advancing the debate on best practice, academic research and business implications by both academic researchers and industry practitioners from both East and West.

The program will comprise of key-note presentations, plenary sessions, doctoral and full paper presentations. Conference proceedings will be available and a range of papers from the symposium will be published under the symposium title.
